Environmental Consultancy Service

For businesses covered by the Environmental Permit and Licence Regulation, compliance is not a one-off task but a continuous process that needs monthly follow-up. As Asel Environmental Consultancy in Antalya, our team — holding the Environmental Consultancy Firm Qualification Certificate from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change — manages this process for you: from the permit and licence application to monthly site inspections, and from declarations and notifications to staff training. Waste management and EIA — we can support you with these processes too.

Who needs an environmental permit?

The Environmental Permit and Licence Regulation groups businesses into two categories according to their environmental impact:

• Businesses under Annex-1 — Facilities with a higher environmental impact. Their applications are assessed by the Ministry.

• Businesses under Annex-2 — Their applications are assessed by the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change.

Businesses on these two lists must carry out their environmental management either by employing an in-house environmental officer or by working with an environmental consultancy firm authorised by the Ministry. Businesses not on the lists are not required to obtain a permit; however, waste management, declaration and notification obligations may still apply to them.

What we do

• Managing the environmental permit and licence application from start to finish, including the Temporary Activity Certificate stage

• Monthly and periodic site inspections and reporting of any non-conformities found

• Tracking the required declarations and notifications and entering them into the system

• Planning the required measurements and analyses and coordinating with accredited laboratories

• Environmental and waste management training for staff

• Assessing and reporting how regulatory changes affect your business

• Being present at the business during official inspections and providing the information and documents requested

How the work begins

1. Initial assessment — We visit the facility and identify which category you fall into and what is missing.

2. Roadmap — We present a plan showing which document, which measurement and which application will be done when.

3. Application — The Temporary Activity Certificate and then the environmental permit/licence application are processed through the online system.

4. Continuity — After the certificate is obtained, monthly site visits, declarations and regulatory monitoring continue.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to employ an environmental officer?

Businesses under Annex-1 and Annex-2 carry out this service either by employing an in-house environmental officer or by working with an authorised environmental consultancy firm. Consultancy can be a more economical solution than employing full-time staff; which option is right depends on the size and workload of the business.

What happens if we continue operating without a permit?

Businesses without the required permit or licence may face administrative fines, suspension of operations and legal sanctions. By managing the process from start to finish, we minimise this risk.

Are you with us during inspections?

Yes. During official inspections, our engineer responsible for your business is present on site and provides the information and documents requested.

How often do you visit the facility?

We create a monthly work schedule for every business we serve; the responsible engineer is at the facility on the agreed day and time.
