Sustainability Consultancy
Sustainability is one of the topics customers, investors and regulations ask businesses about. As Asel Environmental Consultancy in Antalya, we make your business's environmental, social and economic sustainability performance measurable and build the process with you, from policy to reporting.
What does sustainability mean?
Sustainability is addressed under three headings:
• Environmental — Energy, water, waste, emissions and use of natural resources.
• Social — Employee rights, occupational health and safety, training, and relations with the community and local suppliers.
• Governance — Transparency, ethics, risk management and decision-making mechanisms.
The widely used abbreviation ESG describes exactly these three headings. Corporate customers, investors and, increasingly, consumers are asking about your performance in these three areas.
Where to start?
1. Current situation analysis — The business's environmental and social performance, data infrastructure and legal compliance are reviewed.
2. Prioritisation — The topics that really matter for your sector and scale are identified; rather than trying to do everything at once, the focus is on what makes a difference.
3. Policy and targets — Measurable, realistic and trackable targets are defined.
4. Data infrastructure — A simple system is set up to collect energy, water, waste and emissions data regularly.
5. Implementation — Efficiency projects, an environmentally responsible purchasing policy and staff training are put into practice.
6. Reporting — A sustainability report aligned with international frameworks such as GRI is prepared.

Frequently asked questions
Isn't it too early for a small business?
No; starting small is easier. First steps such as energy and water efficiency can also lower costs, depending on the business's consumption.
Do I have to prepare a sustainability report?
The obligation depends on certain size thresholds, and the scope is being extended in stages. Even if you are not obliged, your corporate customers may ask you for data.
Is it the same as the Green Star (Yeşil Yıldız)?
No, but they are related. The Green Star is a certificate specific to tourism facilities, whereas sustainability consultancy is broader work covering all sectors. If you run a tourism facility, take a look at our Sustainable Tourism page as well.
Is the carbon footprint part of this work?
Carbon footprint calculation is an important part of sustainability work. For details, see our Corporate Carbon Footprint page.
If you do not know where to start, let's assess your current situation together and identify the topics that matter for your business and the first three steps.
