Waste Management Service
Classifying the waste generated at your business correctly, storing it under suitable conditions and disposing of it through licensed companies is both a legal obligation and one of the areas inspections look at closely. As Asel Environmental Consultancy in Antalya, we set up and run your waste management process from start to finish: from identifying waste types to designing the temporary storage area, and from organising shipments to annual declarations. When you open a new business, we also design your waste management plan with you.

What does waste management cover?
Waste management is a chain that runs from preventing waste at source to monitoring it after disposal:
• Preventing waste and reducing it at source
• Separate collection by type and properties
• Temporary storage under suitable conditions
• Transport by licensed companies
• Recovery, recycling or disposal
• Declarations, records and monitoring
A gap in any link of this chain can lead to administrative sanctions during an inspection. Among the problems we encounter in the field are wrong waste codes, unsuitable temporary storage areas and declarations not submitted on time.
Why does separating hazardous waste matter?
Waste is classified as hazardous or non-hazardous according to its content. For hazardous waste, the rules on storage conditions, labelling, transport and disposal are much stricter; misclassification means both environmental risk and administrative sanctions. We determine the codes of the waste generated at your business in line with the legislation and define the right method to follow for each waste type.
What we do
• Waste inventory — identifying the types and codes of waste generated at the business
• Designing and setting up the temporary storage area in line with the legislation
• Establishing labelling, separate collection and on-site signage
• Organising transport, recovery and disposal with companies licensed by the Ministry
• Creating and tracking waste shipment requests
• Submitting annual waste declarations through the Ministry's UÇBS system
• Setting up zero waste practices and training staff
• Preparing a waste management plan when a new business opens
Does zero waste apply to you?
Under the Zero Waste Regulation, certain buildings, facilities and businesses must set up and certify a zero waste management system. Hotels and accommodation facilities, shopping centres, industrial facilities and public buildings are assessed under this scope. We check whether your business is covered and, if necessary, set up the system and manage the certification process.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to set up a temporary storage area?
Businesses that generate waste must store it under suitable conditions until it is shipped. The size and features of the area depend on the type and quantity of waste generated; we inspect the site and plan the right solution for you.
Can we hand our waste to any company we like?
No. Waste may only be handed over to companies licensed for that type of waste. We organise the arrangements with suitably licensed companies and track the shipment documents.
What happens if we do not submit declarations on time?
Failing to meet declaration and notification obligations can result in an administrative fine. We keep track of the declaration calendar and make sure you do not miss deadlines.
What is a zero waste certificate for?
It is a legal requirement for obliged businesses. It may also be requested in corporate customer relationships and tender processes.
If you are not sure how your waste should be classified, or you want to see your gaps before an inspection, get in touch; we will inspect your facility on site and assess the situation.
